iEpidemics

About us

Our story

iEpidemics was born from two research projects: ARES (simulation of the transmission dynamics of antibiotic resistance) and LOIMOS (simulation of COVID-19).

Once these two simulators were validated, the next logical step was to create an infrastructure where simulation scenarios for epidemic crises caused by any pathogen could be created virtually.

Our goal is to create a general-purpose infrastructure where researchers and stakeholders can design epidemiological scenarios on demand and see their evolution over time. In this way, decision-making in social, health and infrastructure aspects can be carried out effectively based on virtual surveys.
iEpidemics is a multidisciplinary project involving different researchers
